We Are Moving!

To Our Loyal Customers:

It is my pleasure to announce that Dear Lucy will be moving to 50 Church Street in the Spring of 2025. The current tenant will be vacating later this month & we will then commence a small renovation.

It is a bittersweet move as myself & staff love our corner location. The shoe store (formerly called The Shoe Shop) has been at 38 Church Street for over 40 years. But, it is time for more space for our showroom floor, online business & back office space. The new location has the upgrades already in place that I have been looking for. I want our staff to feel proud of their surroundings and to up our overall client experience.  For now & after the move, everything will be business as usual. We will be offering the same great customer service with all of our staff in place. Moving down the street & remaining on Church Street solidifies our commitment to Burlington. Having worked in retail since college- in Winooski & then managed the Jcrew in Burlington Town Center many years ago I have always felt Church Street is the place to be.

Change has always given me a bit of anxiety- when I bought the store almost 10 years ago I was filled with fear & had months of sleepless nights (not only because I had a newborn). I was so afraid that I never announced I had taken ownership, no celebration- just kept it business as usual and hoped people would keep coming in. From that experience  I now know that with change comes great things & I am excited for our future & a beautiful new store!
